Beach Animals

This book adapted the chapter “Beach Animals” from Jenny Slate’s novel Little Weirds (2019) in which Slate creates a fantastical scenario where she explores an island of her own imagination with two dear friends

The illustrations were constructed through analog processes such as watercolour and collage to emphasise the chapter’s themes of whimsy and the importance of female friendships.
